Why is it so hard to change

Ghosted this girl I met from a friend group and realized that she has a scoliosis (it wasn't really that bad but idk I was an asshole back then), fast forward last week - I basically told her everything since my guilt has been eating me and she said it was fine and she would like to have a coffee w me next week if I'm free, I said sure out of courtesy but deep inside I still don't want to be associated with this girl because of her disability. I know what I'm feeling is wrong but I can't help it.
