Why is larping and calling people larp so trendy now?

I dont know what happened but when i open tiktok i always see people larping as something they arent part of.

Examples:
-Looksmaxing
-Sensitive young man
-Liking a song
-Or a date where someone found out about something (like people who lie about their join date on org or people who say they know goatis from 2019)
There are way more examples but i dont remember them rn

Yes i know that people like to mask and lie about their life but now everyone is lying about the smallest things. It gets taken to a whole new dimension.

And also the people who call anything and everything a larp. In most cases these are the people who larp the most.

What is the cause for it i actually dont understand it.

I Dont know what It is but that term is extremely cringe now, maybe its because of the overuse. To the point where I will go out of my way to not use that word unless need be, and I almost visibly cringe when I see normies mention/overuse that term. Maybe I should make a thread on this to see if others relate.
