Why is MSE so popular in contrast to other regular palate expanders? Is there a difference?

I don't have an MSE provider in my country. Should I travel and get MSE abroad, or should I just get a regular palate expander at home?

Nevermind I found the real reason. It's because toothborne palate expanders don't split the suture for adults, but MSE does.

rapid palatal expansion(not marpe) also cause unwanted dental effects on adults. It can make molars flare out or even worse can push out molars out of the jawbone which can cause tooth loss

MSE is the only one that works on adults. The removable ones only work on children.
