Why is my hair spiky on the sides like this?

I took these photos after combing, the combing makes it look nicer but the spikes are still there. If I don't comb it, it will get frizzier and the spikiness and puffiness will get asymmetric (right biased, always). I do not use shampoo or any hair products, and it doesn't do this while short. I haven't cut it besides cutting the bangs so they're not in my eyes, it's just grown out from a buzzcut.

Keep it, it looks cool. You can experiment with some products at the front to get a wavy texture.

I figured it out. It's just the beginning of the curl of my hair, they're just very large/loose curls. Once I grow it out more it will look a lot better. Those photos were right after I combed it, it usually looked a lot worse throughout the day because it stuck out way more and it always did it more on the right side.
