i have anemia

anemia: you dont have enough red blood cells or hemoglobin to carry oxygen

three fundamental mehcanisms that cause it:
1. blood loss - not a factor for me at this moment
2. reduced blood cell production - my bone marrow is not making enough RBCs
- common causes include nutrient deficiencies (iron - no, b12 - no, folate - no), inflammation which releases cytokines that suppress bone marrow and block iron usage - how could this be possible if my rinvoq is suppressing all inflammation / active disease
3. increased destruction of red blood cells (hemolysis) - autoimmune hemolytic anemia, thalassemia, etc)

TODO:
- analyze MCV (red blood cell size) - good
- check reticulocyte count (newly produced red blood cells)
- check iron studies - iron, ferritin, TIBC, iron saturation - good
- check vitamin levels - B12, folate - good
- check further inflammatory markers

You're probably having a flare-up.

Meanwhile, 1.5 years after the diagnosis, I stopped seeing blood, which is very strange.

If you lost a lot of blood during a flare-up, recovery may take a long time

Everything went wrong at the maintenance dose; I was back to square one. I'll tell my doctor to continue with a loading dose. Check my CRP levels in 3 months
