Why is stubble considered more attractive than a fullbeard?

So many women swoon over stubble and that "five o'clock shadow", but why?

A full beard proves he's more mature, a fullbeard scratches less, a fullbeard is more masculine and so why is stubble so much more attractive to so many women?

because unlike a longer beard that masks your lower third it shows if you have attractive well developed features

Long beard also can make you look « dirty » while also covering features wether they are good or bad
