Why is terraria so confusing bro

I used to play it w a pro friend like 3-4 years ago but now i decided to start a solo world and it’s so confusing…
Like why did it take me an hour to craft a bed

I can absolutely dominate in minecraft survival but when it comes to terraria im stuck on platinum gear
