What's the anatomical aspect that prevents maxfac surgeons from cutting gonions only and moving them in such a way that would generate desirable angularity ?
Knowing chin wings can perform such cuts :
... why not going for a cut like below to fix so-called "inward gonions" ? You can then imagine a variety of movements and segmentations to attain the desired result, akin to chin osteotomy.
