Why is there so much emphasis placed on infraorbital rim implants when really they barely move your SMV up, if at all

I mean seriously what even is the point of shilling out $20,000 just for an implant that gives you a few mm of under eye projection all the while risking complications and nerve damage for barely a bump in SMV. Don’t make fun of me but wouldn’t using foundation to cover up your dark under eyes be a safer and more economic choice?

I agree that infras definitely bump up your looks, but at the current pricing and list of complications (a shitload of nerves are in your infraorbital region) the question then becomes: is it worth it to do all of that just for a bit of projection and to lose your dark undereyes?

I’ve yet to see a single infra result that made me think “wow this guy is definitely gonna drown in pussy once he’s out of the hospital” and that’s for a good reason, but I’m happy to be proven wrong.

I mean, it's a complimentary surgery that you would get if you already maxxed out the actual important stuff like upper and lower jaw and shit like that. It's only a big boost if you're someone like this guy

Basically if your only failo is dark undereyes, I wouldn't do it either.

I thought about getting them for years, but my under eyes aren't nearly as bad as those patients before-and-afters you see. For its risk profile, and the potential reward, anyone who doesn't have death-tier (genuinely death tier) under eye support should probably just look into fillers or maybe fat transfers.
