Why is tinder difficult for average guys when most girls I see outside are with ugly-average guys

I tested some average guy on tinder a while back and he got so few matches, yet IRL i see guys like him in relationships all the time idk and I rarely see any girls with goodlooking guys

Like I can see a girl walking hand in hand with some fat manlet so doesnt make sense

cause they put filters , also just human connection in general if they see a 5,9 average guy at the bar but the vibe is going right theyll go with it, but when its a picture on dating app with the number it just looks unappealing

You really can't get any of those insights on a dating app, so their method of selecting partners is based like 90% on looks on dating apps.
