Why is using ai frowned upon?

I gy the fact that people who use ai jus didn't research about the topic and sent one prompt.

But what if the person knows how to use ai prompts and it anyways only gives answers through researching the web for you. There is still a source behind the ai's word's itself, it doesn't make up its own answers or theories. So why do people insult you when you use ai. Isn't it easier?
