Why is Wikipedia often hard to Understand?

I consider myself to be rather high IQ, but imo Wikipedia is Not written in a way that would be easy to Understand, especially matho-technical articles.
I get it, it gets easier to Understand the more U read Wikipedia, but its still far from perfect.
