Why isn't Accounting getting replaced by AI?

ppl keep saying software engineers are gonna be replaced in a few years, but i don't see the same with accounting?

ppl are recommending that students major in accounting and not cs, but like isn't accounting less brain work than cs, so that means it should get replaced easierrr right?

Most likely because it will cause economic collapse.... and in case AI makes mistakes, there has to be someone there with the knowledge to fix it.

and if the ai does make mistakes gigantic lawsuits will be made and this would be a financial setback for the company using the ai if they lose the lawsuit.

its much easier for companies to just fire someone if they make a mistake

im planning on being a CPA soon so i hope AI doesnt replace them

Its gonna be a while until people start trusting ai with there money

From what I can tell it is actually not the “human computer” job you think it is but requires heavy social skills to deal with clients.
