It would have been better for Japan to be occupied by the Soviets rather than by the Americans, certain Japanese institutions would cease to exist, but however Japanese men would not have become demasculinized, feminized, and emasculated like they are today under US occupation.
Japanese men and Japanese society would still value and uphold conventional masculinity like it did during the Imperial era, plus hypermasculinity as well as militarism would actually be encouraged, just co-opted to be pro-Russian/Soviet. Upon the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, Japan would decommunize and build it's reputation off of combat sports and be the Dagestan of East Asia.
