It's like cheating on a test as an F student and getting an A+. It would be much more believable to aim for a B, so the risk-to-reward ratio is much better. Not to say that 6'0 is an A+ height, but the principle still applies.

I dunno ? As a legit 5’11 (179.8-181.1)myself if an 5’10 or 9 with goated proportions lied I’d not be able to tell.

I can but only up close

1-2 inch difference isn’t that noticeable unless your close to that person like within 5-10 feet

Also some people have tall cone heads etc basically 2 6footers may not have the same peripheral vision stance based on neck, head size, eye placement
