cope. i've met so many people from many cities. i lived in Tehran, Qom (most religious city) and north and Gorgan. i can say without a doubt that 85% of people younger than 35 are borderline atheist.
they either are afraid of gov and falsely claim Muslim or just want to benefit from some gov related things and pretend muslim.

In reality, you go to any of many many mosques built everywhere at any time of the year, and there is like 3-10 people, and they are the mosque keepers and their families jfl.

the reason why numbers look good for Muslims is because:
1.government is lying
2.people afraid to confess they quit Islam cuz it has consequences legally
3.you muslims (or ex-muslims) live in a bubble and only interact with each other.

for instance guys like you only travel Iran to Visit Imam reza or some other religion-based city and then hangout in areas where muslims are.
then you think yeah most people are muslim, nigga non-muslims dont even go to Imam reza or sth like that.
