This is the correct answer, pretty much everyone agrees with the basic substance of the ideology. It's just that most people engage with it through corny tiktok/instagram reels users. I would say maybe like 40% of gen z males agree with looksmaxxing conceptually. Of course hardmaxxing elicits a natural disgust response in normies because it codes as autistic but outside of that it's just how it's presented to most people.

Though of course we have to acknowledge that women especially are not fans of bildungsroman-esque transformations in men. Sprezzatura and all that. People want it to be effortless, unearned, almost; hardwork is very unsexy. This is why so many of them are fixated on the whole 'old-money' aesthetic, the appeal lies in a man who is ontologically wealthy and high status.
