Why is the focus always on the impact on whiteness when a black person enters a relationship with someone white? People often express anger and make comments about how the black person is supposedly "destroying" the white person's whiteness. But why is there no concern about the black person "destroying" their own blackness in the process? It seems like there is a double standard at play here, where only one race is expected to consider the implications of interracial relationships.
