why shaming intelligence is more acceptable than shaming looks

you will often see people make fun of someones intelligence in an argument rather than how they look, and you wont find people who find this behavior 'immoral' as you would with people finding insulting of looks immoral. now why is that? both are determined by a lot of factors and factors that arent in your control (usually, and even if they are in control, you are not in control of knowing what to do).

people find it easy to insult intelligence because it is not something visually apparent, a 5 year old cannot differentiate between someone who's intelligen and someone who isnt (they might be able to, but they certainly wont be good enough at it.) but a 5 year old can easily tell if someone is ugly or not.

just because intelligence is not apparent, people find it easy to insult others based upon it because their own intelligence cannot be visually seen or made fun of (as long as they are above a certain iq). while if you make fun of someones face, your face might be the target of your features. ofc there are more factors to it and i cannot be sure whether this is significant in it, but these are my thoughts.


also if you are part of the community, you should never make fun of anyones looks, body, or intelligence.
