a woman was murdered in london and all the chatter is about how men need to be educated to not be violent, taught not to rape, step up to end violence against women etc etc etc
why should i care about women? it's terrible that this woman was murdered, but nobody gives a fuck about male suicide unless there's some retweets in it. nobody gives a fuck about boys growing up to be demoralised, lonely, mentally ill and unsuccessful in life compared to girls. why care? i don't have a girlfriend, probably never will. leave me alone with this shit, i would hate to have to sit through chastising lectures as a schoolboy struggling with puberty and whatever else
besides, the only way you 'end violence against women' is by castrating baby boys so the male hormones they acquire during their development never lead to aggression or violence. even then, they would remain bigger and stronger than women and could consciously choose to exploit this if they were malevolent. this idea that men don't have a natural propensity for violence, and that its all a social construct of the patriarchy is just ridiculous and doesn't help women at all. the world is a dangerous place full of dangerous people, especially men, always has been and always will be. why do we give so much credence to shit gender studies takes
