It seems to vary a lot. I've had Covid for about 10 days and didnt have a single symptom

Only reason I even caught Covid is because my gf had caught it right before the semester started and we obviously share the same germs. I've been in direct contact with my whole friend group last year who all had Covid and I never caught it despite vaping from their vapes and sharing drinks and blowing smoker in each other's faces. Now I have it and would have never known cuz literally zero symptoms.
