Historically, there was never a "moody phase" that people went through, rather you were considered and operated as an adult once you hit puberty or shortly thereafter for the most part. The whole teenager phenomenon only began post the Industrial Revolution.

For example, if you look at the Maasai tribe, traditionally in their culture once a male hit puberty they were physically considered a man but also had to complete a spiritual transition to manhood. This was done by them hunting down then fighting and killing an adult male lion in combat with just a spear and shield (they don't practice this anymore just for clarity). Just goes to show the difference between the "teenagers" of back then vs. today.

I know a lot of it is to do with make-up improvements and how they dress sluttier and all that stuff, but I often see schoolgirls who are my idea of 9's walking around, and I never saw many girls who had that effect on me back when I was in school and was even hornier than I am now! The girls just didn't seem as hot/sexual/pretty
