I used to post actively on Reddit’s horror subreddit back in 2017. I would be there daily, and read the comments on many threads.

In one such thread, they were making fun of a user who was posting in r/incels. I didn’t know what that was, so I clicked on the link and there I was, on the incels subreddit.

I felt like I wasn’t crazy, now I wasn’t the only one who believed it was his subpar looks that made women not interested in him. Now I saw so many guys blaming their ugliness for their (romantic) failures.

Then the subreddit got shut down by Reddit’s policies, and I had become an established poster during the few months it was still up. I got a DM from a random user who sent me a link to some Discord server.

It was set up for r/incels refugees and there was a guy in the chat who said he was going to create a forum for us, and that it’d be up a few hours later. Lo and behold, incels.is comes into existence in November 2017.

They had a Ratings section, but I was studying Law back in 2018, so I was taking a little break from the incels forum. When I came back, I noticed the Ratings section was gone. So I asked if anyone knew what was up with that, and I was told that they created a separate forum for it: Looksmax.org

And thus I joined, because it was linked to the incels forum since it was owned by the same people (Sergeant and Master). That’s how I ended up here.

nice thank you for the story. and are you an incel yourself or no you just administrate/spend your time on here. Also, did you continue studying law and work in law or not anymore.

No need to thank me, thanks for reading though. Yeah I’m more of a volcel (voluntary celibate) but I’m also ugly, so I identify as truecel as well. Hm, no, I dropped out hehe. What about you?
