he got more orange though, not more red. that would be from tanning or beta carotene (or another orange carotenoid)
I was talking about the redness in the cheeks area

but why would you want to be? instead of just golden.
just golden is more ideal no?
I think it signals you’re not an ethnic but a tanned med

Individual preference. Red is a very attractive colour in the animal kingdom.

Reddish undertone is just perceived more healthy in people's minds. This is just how it works, this is how our brains are wired in general. Ofc I am not talking alcoholic red levels, so don't think only in absolutes, thanks.

And you can get tan from beta carotene and astaxanthin. So you don't need to spend any time photodamaging your skin.

There’s no tan from those you end up looking uncanny .

To me it seems to work, although I am still in the process to be fair. I am white, I was pale in general, this summer I didn't spend almost any time under the sun. I started taking beta carotene and lycopene and after 5 months now, I can see some results. Again, I spend no time with tanning under the sun or in solarium, so all the results are from these supplements. I want to add astaxanthin too.

Does lycopene even work?
