I will use immigration for an example of my perspective on the current political climate.
The current system and version of mass immigration is what I call NeoCooliesm. Coolies where heavily exploited low-skilled labourers during the 18th to 19th century from mainly India and China, they were practically slaves in all but name. The elites have brought back this system of Coolieism but with a veneer of progressive and left wing values, to hide their true intentions. The elites use NeoCoolieism to enrich themselves at the deteriment to everyone but themselves through the undercutting of the job market. Due to the actions of the elites, the far-right has increased in popularity as a result of elite overexploitation. The far-right does NOT hold the elites accountable to their actions. If you observe the political climate carefully, you will start to see the elites siding with the far-right after causing the problem (of mass immigration) that the right is revolting against. To the elites, ideologies are like fashion trends, they "wear" and change to the ideology that best advances their interests.
Look at the case of auspill, he belongs to one of the richest families in Australia and has directly benefited of the immigration housing crisis in Australia. In response to the immigration crisis his family caused, auspill is siding with the anti-immigration wignat far-right, because he knows siding with these people will make him even more powerful and richer. He is not being held accountable for his hypocrisy by the far right which is why political is fake and gay.
Although the left is more advanced in the fight against elite capture, both the left and the right is inadequete in their ability to hold the elite accountable. You can not use ideology to fight the non-ideological, which is why the elites always win.
The real problem is the elites. We live in a dialectical age of Oligarchy vs Democracy, and they are wining. The only we can fix society, in my opinion, is to create blog posts exposing the corruption of elite figures, and upload dox files of the elites to the internet. The elites must learn to fear again.
