My smile lines go down to just below my mouth (AND I’m a long philtrum cel).

Why the fuck is this the case? Why are my smile lines longer than others in length. Others have smile lines but they’re short as and barely reach their mouth. Why are mine so long?

Also, they aren’t proper nasolabial folds (like deep folds with skin folding over), they’re mostly visible in harsh lighting n shit. They’re mostly just creases, like carved in due to muscle habits. Simply just lines. Tret lowered visibility a fuck ton but I’m still having a slight issue.

Do you go out a lot in the sun?

I used to - and without sunscreen too.
I dont really go out in the sun as much anymore, when I do I wear sunscreen.
This might be the reason then, constant exposure to the sun is the leading cause of premature skin aging and loss of elasticity.

Yeah that’s probably the likely cause.
Is there really any way of reversing this or combatting it?
I use Tret every day - currently on 0.05% working my way up to 0.1%.
Is there anything else I can do? I’ve noticed major improvement thru using Tret.

I mean if we're being literal there is ways you can combat it, but it's impossible to fully reverse it.

They become more prominent with age due to repeated smiling, loss of collagen and elastin, volume loss in the midface/cheeks, skin thinning, gravity, and factors like sun damage or smoking.

You can still significantly reduce their appearance. Make sure the sunblock is SPF 50+ and SPA++++

Don't smoke as it heavily destroys facial collagen and elasticity, stay hydrated, eat antioxidant-rich foods, get enough sleep, and maintain stable weight. Avoid side-sleeping if it compresses the area.

Use moisturizers with hyaluronic acid for hydration, no need to ever do 0.1%. The difference between 0.1% and 0.05% is time, and skin folds are not scars, so there is no need to rush the process.

Biggest Difference has to be Dermal Fillers

Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers like Juvederm, Restylane: Adds immediate volume, plump the folds, and support the midface. Results last 6–18 months; reversible with hyaluronidase.

EDIT

Also try not to make exaggerated facial expressions etc.
