Why the fuck do I feel my hips after doing lying leg raises

I deadass have my back lying flat and put all my focus into using my core for it but always end up feeling more of the burn on my hips this shit is genuinly pissing me off what do I do
 
you are using the hip flexors because you are just using your legs

then what should i do when i do the excersise i try to bend my abs without putting any focus on the legs
Just do normal crunches there are no lower and upper abs, your abs do spinal Flexion, so do weighted spinal flexion

You can't. The abs do one thing spinal flexion there is no upper and lower abs so do weighted spinal flexion not reverse ab crunches those do nothing
