Understanding Veganism
Although there is no one agreed upon definition for a vegan diet, but for the sake of this text a vegan diet is a plant based diet consisting of fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, legumes and soy products; seitan, tofu and soy milk (often extremely processed). So we have a definitive definition, this text uses “A diet where the consumer eats foods excluding anything animal based”. This writing excludes supplements. Supplements are unnatural and in order to make the argument a diet is healthy it would have to be healthy without needing to supplement.
Bioavailability
Plant products lack bioavailability and complete amino acids. Some amino acids have a low concentration in plant products and are often not properly absorbed. Plant vitamin absorption is different from meat because the precursor to the vitamin is different in plant and animal products. For example the difference between the vitamin A you’d get from plants is beta carotene and it is 1/10th as bio available as the retinol derived from animal products. The body absorbs and converts retinol to vitamin A more efficiently than beta carotene.
Anti Nutrients
Plant products can even be high in plant defense chemicals which are referred to as anti nutrients. Cooking vegetables allows for water soluble oxalates to dissolve out of food. The oxalate amount is only reduced through methods of cooking where water is involved. Not baking. Boiling can remove up to 87% and steaming can remove up to 53% of oxalate content. These percentages are not universal for all anti nutrients.

Oxalates bind to calcium and iron making absorption more difficult. The following is a list of anti nutrients from plants sourced from AI for convenience. Microplastics in rain water are transferred to the soil where plants are grown.
Evolutionary Biology
Humans are not scavengers humans, are not decomposers, humans are not herbivores. We are omnivores with biology that relates us closely to carnivores. . When humans began the agricultural revolution studies show humans bone mass decreased, jaw size decreased, growth was stunted and dental cramming began. This is evidence that animal products are important especially during development to reach full genetic potential. In terms of longevity animal products promote expression of genes that are responsible for healthy aging.

Dr Weston A Price traveled and analyzed a tribe called the Dinkas in Sudan, he found them to be incredibly healthy. They were tall and well proportioned. The tribe ate an animal based diet emphasizing raw dairy. Although this is not proof animal products are required it creates speculation of the importance of animal products in a diet. Another biological argument against the consumption of vegetables specifically leafy greens is their high concentration of plant defense chemicals however fruits which are visually and flavorfully more appealing to humans. Plants use fruit as a way to spread seeds and reproduce this process depends on fruits being eaten. Plants intend for humans to eat their fruits not their leaves roots and stems which are necessary to make the fruits.
Why all of this matters
In simple terms not using sources, vegans have nutrient deficiencies, they consume products laced in cancer causing and hormone disrupting agents. Plant biology makes it illogical to eat roots stems and leaves by using plant defense chemicals to deter predators. Human biology requires nutrients not found in plants and for proper development humans need to chew hard foods and nourish the body with animal products. All of these points listed lead to and are not limited to brain fog, fatigue, anemia, osteoporosis, heart issues, digestive issues, and even cancer.
