Why this forum is more addicting than Reddit and other similar websites

I hadn't checked .me for only a few hours. On the other hand, I hadn't checked reddit in over a day. Yet, I had 24 notifications here and only 9 on reddit.

This is because this forum notifies you for every reaction you get. Meanwhile, reddit gives you a notification for every 5 upvotes or so.

24 notifs give a LOT more dopamine than 9.

Thoughts?
