Why this happens with mentally ill people

I was chatting with a reddit user that worked in a mental ward saying that one common trait among mentally ill person is wanting revenge on police and talking about beating up officers, why do tou think this is?

I think that in any crisis situation, the police are the first responders, or in situations like a patient refusing medication, the police intervene. These people's minds are simply looking for a reason to accumulate their anger and find someone to blame.
