Paul writes in his letters, "I was a Pharisee of Pharisees" prior to his miraculous conversion
Meaning;
-He had all the wealth
-He had all the comfort of life & all he had to do was debate theology all day
-He was set for life
-He was the top of the top, taught by the very elite of Judaism
Yet despite all of that, he goes on to say in his letter Philippians 3:8:
“Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Jesus Christ my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.”
He gave it all up for the Truth of Christ Whom appeared to him on the road to Damascus in a Bright Light and Voice calling out to him.
