Tret is basically the holy grail for skin. Smoothed out wrinkles and kills most if not all acne. The effects of it are obviously not permanent, but It's still an amazing retinoid for your skin.
PS: the explanation below is for people who are on tret for acne.
But some people experience no improvement from tret even after months of usage. One reason could be the strength of your tret. If you're on 0.025% tret and see no results, bump it upto 0.05% and then 0.1% if 0.5 doesn't work well. I also suggest buying tret from a pharmacy, most tret on online sites like indiamart are a waste of money with no benefits.
If you're on 0.1% tret and still see no results, then that means you need to get an even stronger retinoid, which is tazarotene (or taz for short). Even the smallest doses of taz are much more powerful than 0.1 tret. The side-effects of it are the same as tret but way more powerful and severe if not treated properly. Taz has two strength levels, 0.05% and 0.1%. 0.1 is only for people with extremely stubborn acne and tough skin.
If neither options worked, then you need to use the strongest treatment of acne known to man which can PERMANENTLY kill any acne. It's called Isotretinoin but also called Accutane. I suggest going to a dermatological before even considering to buy it. It can be heavy on the liver and be extremely rough on the skin. Some people have even experienced stunted growth due to high dosages of Accutane.
WARNING: ACCUTANE IS THE LAST AND FINAL RESULT. EVERY ACCUTANE USER HAS EXPERIENCED GREAT RESULTS
