Being a cow on some domesticated field mogs living in nature hard.

You get relax your entire life and then die a pretty painless death.

In nature you constantly need to worry about disease, other animals brutally slaughtering you, predators all around you.

Shit is brutal.

Imagine you just get break your leg and thats the end for that animal.

So yeah, releasing all the animals into the wild wouldn't reduce suffering.

why not? clearly that should be the goal since it's better not to exist than to exist in misery.

you could make the same point about certain species of dogs that just inherently suffer due to the traits that they developed from those breeding practices. it would obviously be better to just stop breeding them.
