Why was og Minecraft so scary ?

I do remember when I was 5 years old I got my first Minecraft disc for ps4 (good times)

The first 2 years I played creative and just slaved Hypergamous villagers

But whit 7 I started Survival and I was ass but I tried

But every time night fell or I go into a cave I got so scared

Bcs that’s there where they added those Cave sound

And overall Minecraft was so quiet

idk how to explain it but the graphics felt uncanny and ‘wrong’ too

couldn’t dig into files too like you could so the herobrine thing got passed around

i remember hearing random footsteps or blocks breaking thinking herobrine was in my world lol
