Literally got robbed off the most insane time to do CS missing the 2000s CS boom sounds is like a gut punch. Back then the tech scene was wild. dot-com bubble aside companies were desperate for anyone who could code and CS grads were practically printing money.

Low competition meant you could land a gig at a startup or Big Tech with a basic CS degree and some hustle and networking. You wouldn't have to grind this hard to land a job. Immigration to the U.S. was a breeze too.H1B visas were flowing and they didn't make people like me jump through so many hoop. Silicon Valley was practically begging for talent and was giving everyone a red carpet welcome to join. A decent coder could climb the ladder fast, snag stock options. and ride the wave to millionaire stat. Fucking hell.

My uncle is prime example of the American dream. Literally came with nothing and ended up a millionaire with sheer hardwork. This isn't possible these days

There would always be regret. Today is saw a Guy who invested 2000$ in Nvidia back in 2019 it's Almost worth 132k $ Now. Same thing with bitcoin you've probably seen the post about a guy telling pls buy dollar worth of bitcoin. It's just luck and timing.

Infinitely more tell you to dump your money in some shitcoin too. This is simply hindsight. We overlook how many failed attempts there are.

I know people say that every generation has rose tinted glasses or some shit but I'd cut off at least 2 fingers to be born in that fucking economy
