Why were ww2 soldiers such moggers?

Whenever I watch ww2 footage most of the soldiers I see are above average with a large amount of CL and even chads I know that they were probably over representated in marches and propaganda but still even in random footage they seem like such moggers, particularly German and English soldiers.
Also please post the most mogger ww2 soldiers that you find.

They weren't particularly good looking tbh, but they were lean asf + had mogger wrists and hands, most men today are wristlets
