I think it's subconscious.

But statistically speaking, blacks commit a huge amount of crime in relation to their actual population. In America I think blacks commit over half the crime despite their population being what like 10-15%. So in terms of numbers you are in far more danger around a POC than you are a regular white person.

I think it just depends tbh. Things like location, environment, dress style/ grooming etc change my perception.

If I'm in central London surrounded by black businessmen in suits, I won't care. If I'm in east London surrounded by thugs wearing tracksuits, I'd be nervous
