Now, I'm not saying every single looksmaxxing influencer does this. There are definitely a few who genuinely want to help people improve themselves (in exchange for money, of course). But I think a good amount of them spread bullshit tips just to waste your time while gatekeeping the things that actually work. Or they'll try to convince you those things are just "cope" so you never even bother trying them.

It's honestly the halo effect at its finest. People automatically trust someone just because they're attractive, even if half the advice they're giving is complete nonsense. Since they're already good-looking, people assume they know all the secrets.
