Why would anyone use finasteride over RU58841?

1) DHT is an extremely important neurosteroid. It has developmental roles for the young brahs on here, and even for fully developed adults regulates libido, energy, mental clarity, muscle strength & tone. That is why when you take a DHT derived steroid like masteron, these traits improve. Likewise, when you block your DHT production these traits decline, because you are essentially castrating yourself too

2) Miss me with big pharma funded studies where they conclude the product they're selling (finasteride) is safe. Thanks big pharma. Also thanks for bringing us opioids, SSRIs, hormone blockers, amphetamines, covid vaccines, you name it. Meaningless research

3) RU58841 is more effective than finasteride in studies in terms of what it's supposed to do: hair regrowth and hair loss prevention. This is because testosterone, not just DHT, binds to scalp androgen receptors and causes balding. Finasteride does nothing for this. Also if you take any steroid other than testosterone, finasteride won't help you there either. Ru58841 helps in all cases simply because it topically blocks androgen expression

1) DHT is not a neurosteroid.

2) Kinda true/ish

3)Ru is an experimental drug. Its an anti-ANDROGEN. Not selective to 5-AR. and can have systemic effect to some degree.

Also heart concerns whilst being on RU.

Just take the if your balding, your balding pill. Maybe Fin + preg, progesterone, allopreg or HCG is good. idk

Well studied drug used successfully by millions for over 20 years vs experimental mystery mix that isn't even as effective

1) Yes it is, in studies where they modulate ion channels, they can attenuate the mental effects of strong androgens such as DHT (the strongest androgen we naturally produce.) DHT has a neurologically excitatory effect

3) You're right. That's exactly what I said, you WANT to use a topical anti androgen here, rather than a systemic anti androgen which is specific to DHT

As for it possibly going systemic... Yes, there is a possibility that in some individuals it will go systemic to some degree. If this is such a concern for you, why would you take an ENTIRELY systemic drug like finasteride that completely nukes serum DHT?

We know that RU58841 does not reduce serum androgen levels. It may exert some degree of anti androgen effect anyway by interfering with androgen binding across the body. But with the doses used, how much testosterone there is relative to DHT, and how much is likely going systemic, it's pretty negligible

Long term safety profile is the only real concern, because fin has been out longer. I understand this. People have different risk aversions. But the heart issues are unfounded. If you look in to it, you will see RU58841 passed stage 1 clinical trials, & the heart concern stems from one guy who found out he had a heart condition a week after hopping on RU58841, then schiz'd out and blamed RU

this nigga, is on the verge, of doingALL simultaniously
I'm on Minox and (0.33 mg) fina. But, I'm still slowly thinning. So soon, I gonna buy R56454685654546644534563456774567884456774567848347784563478563756347845.
And add that to the mix also. Than I do 3 things daily. fina + minox + RU. Ocassionally I do now, dermaroller, red light, and a guy sggested head massage for good blood flow there.

I need stagnation, or improvement with hair.
NOT slowly balding
Just take the if your balding, your balding pill.
Never.
At least, NOT without a MASIVE fight/battle

Hair = LIFE

I'm on this shit now daily (0.33 mg), for like 2 years maybe already. Zero side effect, tbh.

1, that dosent really mean much. DHT is upstream from neurosteroids. DHT<Progesterone< Allopregenolone etc etc. I’m not scientist, but DHT is responsible for the production of neurosteroids.

2. nuking DHT is much safer than test. I wouldn’t want some compound lowering my test. And who knows the test lowering effect is negligible? It’s a poorly studied drug.

But Hair>Life so I see where you’re coming from.

Someone like Derek from MPMD, is on RU, Fin, HRT etc. But is pretty healthy. So there’s many ways to look at this stuff.

You seen HairCafe on YT? Check him out. And maybe some topical Fin/Dut could be of help.

Also research the allopregnenolone theory of 5AR inhibiting drugs, causing PFS. Super interesting tbh. Someone like @CupOfCoffee who essentially cured his Fin sides with Prog, Preg.

You need both.
Finasteride to delete DHT (but Fin raises testosterone)
Topical RU to delete Testosterone on the scalp
