Back when Romania was communist, abortions were banned. There were also no condoms, no contraceptive pills, no sex education info, so many people didn't even know contraception is a thing, so there was less slutting around and more traditional relationships and families.
Pretty much anyone could find then a girlfriend/wife, many of my incel friends have fathers who are lot like them: fat/deformed/bald/goofy/etc. - back in their days this wasn't a problem for finding a partner.
