Things might have changed since I changed platform but to me ios is more fluid and nicer to use and iphones are really good all rounders and age better, kinda disappointed that iphone 12 doesn’t have high refresh rate though (120hz)
Note 12 ultra is a compelling phone but at £1.3k idk about that ngl

Where I live, mainly people have the older generation of iPhones (6-8) and everybody else has a Samsung. Those are the only two recognized legit brands which you won't be laughed at for using. iPhones are better due to their ecosystem and are easy to use. All the apps run smoother on it too. I didn't like how they increased the phone sizes lately. But I might buy the new iphone SE due to it's size which is ideal imo.

I have a Note 9. It's like the pinnacle of samsung engineering. They didn't hold anything back. It was the last 'true note' as they say.

Every new note is now divided into to different versions with different features. No more headphone jack, this is a HUGE deal to me. I need a headphone jack. 2-3 years of software updates are bad tbh. There was that debacle with US snapdragon chips being faster than exynos chips that the rest of the world had. Some notes depending on the region had completely different cooling systems. In fact, I'm pretty sure samsung is gonna be phasing out the note series soon anyway.

The note was supposed to be a singular phone that had EVERY feature you could imagine, the ultimate powerhouse. And I just don't think samsung has that steam anymore.

Also I dislike curved displays, makes using the s-pen annoying.

If samsung did the following on the note 21 I'd buy it in a heartbeat (provided Apple don't do something revolutionary):

120 Hz 1440p HDR 10+ display.
No notch/hole punch camera.
No camera bump for the rear camera. (basically the design of the note 9 with one exception below)
Completely flat screen like the iphones.
A headphone jack.
Expandable storage.
Of course a bigger battery.

Put all this into one phone along with all the other features of samsung phones and they have a legit monster of a phone.
