Women don't want to date their looksmatch, they want to date the best that they can get because they think that's what they deserve. At numbers that high up i don't think it really matters as much to the point that they'd turn down an 8 which is pretty rare just in case an even rarer 9 or a 10 comes along

for women the looks scale pretty much caps at 7/10, because a 7/10 with makeup is 10/10.

A 10/10 man is very rare, thats a model, he cant use makeup yo change his looks - its just as rare as a woman that doesent drop 3 points when she removes makeup

There is no difference between an 8 or 9, after a certain level, it becomes subjective, for example, who is more attractive, Ian somehalder or Cavill?

Rating faces from 1-7
women scored on average 0.5 higher. Which is like irl around 1 point out of 10 higher.

So a male that is irl 8/10 is as rare a 9/10 female
