Why would upward slanted eyes be considered good looking? (pos canthal tilt)

I am puzzled why having eyes that slant upward would be considered aesthetically pleasing? IMO, It looks odd and almost cat like. It isn't attractive at all.

To give an example here is the upward slant (attractive??__)

If people like 'ol slanty eyes, more power to them. But it isn't ideal, IMO.
