last year clav was talking about lateral thumbpulling and said himself that he calculated lateral thumbpulling with the right force for 90 seconds almost every hour should widen pallete like 0.1mm. may be cope, may not be cope but i think its worth a try for just 90 seconds an hour, especially if your sutures are open

The right force is prob more than or equal to the force a pallate expander exerts over time, way too much for our fingers to produce

i’m pretty sure palate expander only applies force for a certain amount of time then stops. so if that is true and we use our thumbs to apply as much force as possible 90secx14-18 may equal to a palate expander but i doubt you will see results as fast. IF lateral thumbpulling does work it would take 2-3x the length of a palate expander to see results.

It would most probably just reshape the soft tissue instead

i’ll try this myself to see if it’s cope or not since i have a narrow palette

some1 has calculated the force the thumbs exert as well as pallate i just dont think 90s a day is consistent, constant, or powerful enough. obviously needs research
