People here overreact over implants and talking like "carrying plastic on your face smh" or "it could get infected", "can fucked up your face with a puch" etc.
However if we look at osteotomies alternative to wraparound, gonial angle and chin implants, we can clearly see that, osteotomies don't have any superior benefits over implants.
After cutting bones they put huge metals to stick bones together, they don't take out the metals since there is a huge gap cannot be healed later. So you carry that metals anyway.
In custom wraparound / chin implants they put a tiny screw to fixate it.

Also osteotomies alone cannot give you enough augmentation to create a model-type jaw or chin. You will at best be "okay" after the surgery. You can see there is no drastic change if we compare with implants.

I'm geniunely asking why you always prefer osteotomies over implants ?

PS : I'm not talking about lefort or genioplasty for severely recessed chins. If someone has problem with his maxilla, forward growth, underbite or recession then osteotomies is the first option anyway.

you're talking bull****, the screws are absorbed by the body over time. at least it is so with modern equipment. the results of osteotomies are always natural. besides I intend to have both.

They are not

how the heck do you think that's gonna happen ?
with bioabsorbable screws bro.
I already exchanged messages with a top-notch surgeon, he told me it is absorved over time.

it literally heals and fills it with bone in less than a week dude
No it doesn't always do that. And the bone interfaces still remain weak after joining.

since titanium cannot be broken, it will break the screwed part. that's why i didn't write "screw can be broken".

the gap won't filled itself, @Surgerymax can tell that.

"Sliding geniplasties, or chin osteotomies, eventually heal by bone filling in the gap. The plate is merely to hold the new chin position in place as the bone fills in which is a process that generally takes 3 to 6 months to fully form and heal solidly. Often the plate becomes partially or completely covered by bone. I have yet to see a reason or a need to ever remove a chin osteotomy plate. It is the one facial area where metal hardware never poses any long-term problems or need for secondary removal."

Ok man. Don't complain if you end up with a brittle face and permanent nerve damage.

There are other problems too if you do double jaw. The complication profile is high. They'll tell you that the chances of developing complications are low, but I can't help but question that given the extent of invasion and breakage patients have to go through.

Because most people here are ugly and there is always a functional reason for ugliness. Osteotomies fix functional issues that make people ugly.

Implants are fine but you need to get them after you fix the functional issues.

I don't think it's guaranteed. but I think this nerve issue depends a lot on the professional you do it with.

anyway, i don't intend to do a double jaw, just chin and wing.

Ah then your risk exposure is minimal. Still genio has risks of mental nerve injury, malunion, nonunion, step-type deformities, asymmetry, and lip drop. On the other hand. the complications of chin implant are injection and bone erosion.

I'll do it with a top tier surgeon extremelly redpilled and skilled 20years doind it. he has a site explaining everything, techniques etc. He really seems passionate with it in his instagram.

Good luck man. Genio is definitely on the lower end of the risk spectrum. You should be ok.
