all those were classed as India until 70 years ago, it's not purely the gravitas of India's relative size. plus (minor point) lot of the peoples of those places are also found in India, and in many cases their homeland is modern day India (I think the homeland of Bengalis is a low yield natural disaster prone river delta, or a fertile flood plain ???
