You probably think clouds are those boring, white things in the sky blocking out the sun in spring or causing rain but in actuality clouds are a beautiful gift with benefits, I am not here to force you to sit and watch clouds, but if you are feeling down or in need of inspiration, go out in nature and find a spot and cloudgaze if you want.
Firstly you should learn the cloud names, there are a few in latin and it is not THAT difficult. Then you must get a journal for checking off all the clouds you see as this is a rewarding idea. Alternatively you can just look up and interpret clouds as different shapes and stuff.
Here are some of the benefits of cloudgazing! Cloudgazing boosts creativity, increases mindfullness and make your mental health better. So on a warm day go out somewhere untouched wherever you live, lay down and ponder and watch the clouds go by, watch them form and burst, and when you are done firstly you will be suprised on how much time has passed but secondly you will feel so much better, Don't believe me just go out for 30 minutes somewhere secluded and watch the clouds and see how it makes you feel.
Finally, when asked what beauty is the poet John O'Donohue suggested beauty is a kind of homecoming, a remembrance of something we already knew. And in this homecoming, beauty is an invitation into becoming who we truly are. Probably the last time you cloudgazed you were very young and shared your attention between many things, now most people focus on a few things they think are important, I advise going out there and taking in the world and nature for what it truly is.
"God writes the the Gospel not only in the Bible alone, but also on trees, and in the flowers and clouds and stars" -Martin Luther
