Thing is, your skin experiences laxity all over your body with age. Estriol seems to be amazing for skin health but the problem is that most creams contain heavy fats and waxes that can clog pores and worsen acne. Is it still worth to try

It seems to me that most people who use estriol are already on prescription retinoids and confuse results.

I just got a bunch in. I’m applying it to my scalp to induce the anagen phase since I’ve been using DHT Prop to treat gyno and another rare condition. Been taking 2.5mg oral min for 3-4 months now and nothing seems to get new growth going on my scalp. Anyone have experience with estriol cream for hair growth?

I parted my hair in as many different sections as I could and applied the cream. I also did my entire hairline. Put some on the forehead and around the cheekbones where I already apply 0.1% taz.

i’m not saying estriol is gonna have some massive systemic estrogenic effect, i agree that it’s one of the weaker forms of estrogen. my point is that using estriol topically on your face for collagen enhancement is still going to result in some degree of systemic absorption. and that becomes even more relevant if the person is using other topicals like tretinoin or azelaic acid that can increase skin permeability/absorption up to 6x. there are clinical trials with topical estriol where it was applied to the arm and still resulted in systemic absorption, and the skin on the arm is substantially thicker than facial skin. so i agree with you that the amount that goes systemic may be small and probably isn’t going to produce a huge estrogenic effect, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t going systemic. that was my point.

Estriol seems to be a lot more selective for the ERb vs ERa, which is what we want. Especially in my scenario where I have a bunch of androgenic signaling from DHT. My last 2 labs showed my E2 at 16pg/mL. So I can use the estrogenic signaling but I’m a more selective and targeted manner. Also, with DHT in the mix it behaves like a SERM and keeps estrogens away from ERa and prefer ERb. So I’m not worried about systemic absorption. I’ll be checking E3 in my next labs.

I’ve already noticed this about Estriol cream; it’s already softening the skin on my face and shrinking the pores. Especially on my nose. It’s only been a week too.
