Why your split doesn’t matter

As long as you’re hitting each muscle group at least twice a week (yes you need to hit legs twice a week), and doing 2-3 sets till 0-5 RIR, you are going to grow muscle. PPL/UL, any variation of U/L, or even FBEOD are all great splits that you will have at least 2x frequency.

if you are talking about sets per exercise, id say 1-2 rather than 2-3, imagine you do fbeod, then you would be better of doing 1 set per exercise and instead of adding extra sets, add a bigger variety of exercises to target more fibers. With u/l or ant/post you could easily do 2x per exercise, same if you want to do ppl/ul

I agree, I stick to 2 sets to failure but I didnt want to contradict my source
 
Water 10-15 sets a week for every muscle to failure
