When we need something to be replaced, when something is over a decade old and past it’s life due to planned obsolescence, when the issue is right infront of her and affects me mostly, she doesn’t care.
she just says, “we are broke”. when I need a new mattress due to mine being 4+ years old and Causing my skin to itch, she doesnt mind. When the fucked up springs cause it to ruin my lower back, she doesn’t care. We are “broke”. She bought a queen sized bed for herself 4 years ago that is still top tier to this bed and it’s all for her. I don’t sleep on it.
When the AC breaks in early August and I can’t repair it, she says, “we are broke, there’s no money for a new AC. Just gotta hold out”. which fucks me over hard due to me being at home much longer than her and her just having a Fan all to herself when she comes back.
When she goes to the grocery store, she gets “second thoughts” about buying me solid foods and decided against it, but buys 10+ bags of diet soda for herself, sweetener and 1 bag of 1 carton of juice for me and 1 small container of mixed peanuts for us to share. That’s her share vs my share. I have to carry all the groceries by hand btw. When I ask for a trolley So it can be easier and not as much of an issue to get it into the elevator and out before the door automatically closes, she says no. “We are broke”.
When she cracks her own USB? Immediately demands me to use her card on amazon to get a new one. When she wants clothes? finds the cash to pay for it all. No card needed. When she wants her sweet tooth satiated? Finds the money to buy drinks in mass quantities. Even wasted money online for some digestion garbage which never came and was 100$. Had to cancel order for her to get a refund.
when I finally get money and get things I need, she scolds me for “wasting money”. But tells me straight to my face that we are broke and in the same Breath will tell me to use her card to buy some shit on amazon.
